Summary

One-Click Delete does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything it does happens entirely inside your own browser.

What this extension does

One-Click Delete adds a one-click delete control (and an optional keyboard shortcut) to ChatGPT's conversation sidebar, automating the same menu → delete → confirm steps you could otherwise perform manually. It does not read, store, or transmit the content of your conversations.

Data collection

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind.
• No network requests are made by this extension to any server we control, or to any third party.
• No conversation content, titles, or account information is ever read, stored, or transmitted.

Data stored locally (never transmitted anywhere)

The extension stores a small amount of data using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage APIs, entirely within your own browser:

• Settings (chrome.storage.sync): whether "confirm before delete" is on, whether "Debug mode" is on, and your chosen undo-window duration. This syncs across your own Chrome installations through your own Google account — it never reaches us, because there is no server operated by this extension for it to reach.
• Debug diagnostics (chrome.storage.local, only ever populated when you manually turn on Debug Mode): the last few technical failure records — which page element the extension failed to find, and a small trimmed snippet of the surrounding page markup — used only to help diagnose the extension if it breaks. This stays on your device and is visible only to you, in your own browser's developer console. Debug Mode defaults to off.

Permissions

This extension requests exactly one permission: storage, used only for the settings described above. Its code only runs on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com, and nowhere else.

Third-party services

None. This extension does not use analytics providers, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or any other external service.

Changes to this policy

If this extension's functionality ever changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy will be updated to match, with the "Last updated" date above reflecting the change.
